Introducing Google Cloud Next:

Google Cloud Next is Google’s flagship annual conference, drawing attention from developers, cloud engineers, business leaders, and IT professionals worldwide. This year, the 2025 edition unfolded in Las Vegas with the kind of impact we’ve come to expect from the event: packed with forward-looking announcements and a clear focus on AI at scale. For businesses operating in financial services, retail, and technology, the updates presented were both practical and transformative.

As a Google Cloud partner, BBI is excited to integrate these updates into our solutions for data modernization, integration, AI, and migration. Below, we break down what matters most to our customers and how we’re turning insights into action.

Key Announcements Relevant to BBI:

1. Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash

Google introduced the latest versions of its AI model family, Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash. Gemini 2.5 Pro now offers more advanced reasoning, improved memory, and multimodal capabilities. For enterprises, these models mean higher-quality insights from unstructured data and more scalable AI solutions.

2. Vertex AI Agent Builder & Agent Development Kit

Vertex AI has expanded with Agent Builder and a new development kit that enables users to build, test, and deploy multi-agent systems. These agents can reason through tasks and take complex actions across platforms. This update fits directly into BBI’s GenAI delivery model for building enterprise-grade automation.

BBI’s AI-powered framework is built to address customer pain points in data engineering. BBI's multi-agent framework involves using multiple autonomous AI agents that collaborate to achieve a shared goal. This approach streamlines complex workflows, reduces manual effort, and improves operational efficiency. By automating key data processes and adapting in real time, the framework helps organizations scale faster and deliver better outcomes with greater consistency.

3. Google Agentspace

This new product acts as an AI hub where employees can interact with enterprise data and purpose-built agents using natural language. It supports multiple AI models, making it an ideal fit for companies managing large-scale knowledge and documentation.

4. Ironwood TPUs and Axion CPU

Google launched its seventh-generation Tensor Processing Unit and new custom Arm-based CPUs. These enhancements drive faster model training, improved inference, and higher energy efficiency, all of which improve performance for data-heavy operations like those we manage at BBI.

5. Cloud WAN for Multi-cloud Networks

Google’s new Cloud Wide Area Network (WAN) offers enterprise-grade network performance with 40% better speed and up to 40% lower cost of ownership. This enhances cross-cloud connectivity, a feature BBI supports in several enterprise deployments.

6. Vertex AI’s Model Garden Expansion

Over 200 curated foundation models, including Google’s Gemini and third-party models, are now accessible through Vertex AI. This aligns with BBI’s strategy of using the right model for the right use case, especially in regulated industries.

7. Imagen 3 and Veo 2 for Generative Media

Text-to-image and video generation capabilities have improved significantly. These tools can support BBI’s marketing analytics and content automation projects, especially in customer-facing apps.

8. Time Series Forecasting with Gemini

This is useful in sectors like finance and retail, where predictive models are key. BBI’s data science teams are already exploring this feature to support demand planning and financial forecasting models.

9. Distributed Cloud Enhancements

Gemini is now available in air-gapped and connected environments. This opens new opportunities for regulated industries, allowing secure AI deployments at the edge or on-prem.

10. AI-Powered Security with Google Unified Security (GUS)

Security gets an AI upgrade with automated threat detection and response capabilities. This tool adds a strong layer of protection for BBI’s cloud-native platforms.
